It’s so hard to find a flat knee-high boot. I have health problems that cause me near-unbearable agony if I wear shoes with a heel or with high arch support. Heels make my hips and knees hurt, and arch supports make me feel like there are knives stabbing me in the arch. I also like something nice and wide with a good amount of flex to it so I don’t get blisters. My feet are wider than most women’s, especially in the toe box. My toes have a lot of spread.

These boots fit the bill nicely with one caveat: I had to order two sizes up from my normal size to get a proper fit, the same as Converse All Stars. There was a bit of slippage in the heel once I had a boot of the proper width for my feet, so I put in a slightly thicker insert and the problem seems to be solved. They are slightly long, but no worse than it would be if they had a pointed toe.

I normally wear a size 39, but need a size 41 in this boot.
